Located on the eastern side of the city of Neiva -Huila, the extension and design program of the park satisfy both local and urban needs.  Offering sports and recreational facilities in addition to natural settings for public enjoyment, the project will primarily attract local visitors and neighbors.  Interior buildings, such as The Cocoa Museum, Lookout Tower, bird watching platforms, amusements, playgrounds and manicured landscapes will attract both local and foreign visitors

The pedestrian path covers the entire park eastward and ends in a public square, connecting the first planned section of the park with future stages, and the urban center of Neiva.  The main square, “El Curibano,” marked northbound by an institutional building and convention center, and southbound by shops, provides the neighborhood with a new open space for performances, events and seasonal fleamarkets.

The Cocoa Museum is settled in the heart of the park.  Situated in a rainwater reservoir and wetlands area, the space naturally lends itself to the natural landscape.  The bird-watching platforms allow visitors to observe the region’s abundant species under protected structures.
